In a world with all the scrolling and trolling; blaming and shaming—parents have their work cut out for them. The challenge becomes even more intensified when parenting a youth struggling with depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation; in fact, it can become a matter of life or death. This workshop invites parents to talk about and work through expectations, grounding one’s self in stressful situations, and aiding your teen or child to do the same. We will work through the importance of learning how to 'be' with your child—it’s not always about what you 'do'. Parents will walk away feeling supported and armed with new strategies.

People want to believe that their life is valuable. If you—like me—believe this to be an immutable truth, I argue that we have an obligation that follows suit: We should respect that everyone’s voice is also valuable." |
